Sea Bin, the Trash Can on the Ocean

     While trashes on the ground can be removed with comparative ease, trashes on the ocean are hard to remove. On the ocean, huge amounts of the trashes are floating than expected. By the research, only the plastic garbage on the ocean reached to 8 million tons. These trashes cause the changes in marine lives, consequentially the problems of the marine ecosystem arose. Two surfers in Australia, Andrew Turton and Pete Ceglinski, made a great invention called ‘Sea Bin’ to solve the trash problems on the ocean.

     Andrew and Pete, two inventers of the Sea Bin, loves surfing but it became harder because of the increasing marine litter. Therefore, they decided to handle the litter matters themselves and conducted for about 10 years. Finally they invented the Sea Bin, the trash can which can be installed above the sea. Now they are trying to scale up for mass production via crowd funding. The Sea Bin aims for improvement of traditional way of port cleaning, which costs high.

     The Sea Bin is just a trash can above the sea and it also called dust bean of the sea. It is made of a bucket with long pump and can run for 24 hours with less cost. If it is installed on the ocean, it inhales the trashes and oil. Additionally, the function of separating oil and seawater can be added. It draws in seawater, then separate oil from seawater and emits only the clean seawater. The surprising thing is that Andrew and Pete tested it for 4 years and during the testing, any fish and marine animals never came into the Sea Bin.

     Including the Sea Bin, news about handling marine waste are rising. It shows that the ocean is the important role of the environment. The Sea Bin only works for the harmful trashes, plastic and oil, so it might be the best way of eliminating trashes over the whole world’s ocean. Thus, the Sea Bin should be come into wide use.

           As humans are living longer, world population rapidly increased. At the same time, economic development improved people’s quality of lives and access to luxury foods and goods, such as seafood and beef. By consuming goods and foods have been increased, wastes increased as well. The garbage disposal issue is a real headache to all countries. Consequently, environments are harmed by overexploit, and natural resources are becoming scarce. Humans should feel responsibility of ensuring a sustainable future and endeavor. Environment contamination can be improved by government controls and reducing disposal product.

           Government should flag up the seriousness of pollution all around the world, and make laws of waste emission. For example, government measure the amount of waste output, and impose a large duty on the company which emit too much or harmful waste. This law is going on, but government should strengthen the regulation and punishment. Government also can make encouraging policy such as incentive to cut back the waste. If the waste emission decreased over last year,  

           It is important that all citizens also do their part to take care of environment. They can protect the environment by reducing disposal product, such as plastic bag and cups. These days, disposal products are extremely used. Even if you buy one thing, it would contain disposable product such as vinyl wrapper. People should carry eco-friendly stuffs such as lunch box, tumbler and bags.

           In order to reduce environmental pollution, both government and citizens have to take action, such as enactment of law and habit of using renewable products. People should protect the earth not for them, for their next generations. Remember that even a little effort can save the environment and do the easiest thing you can do.

       Have you ever met a likeable person at your favorite place? Possibly, that place made that person likeable, because of place’s atmosphere. Beauty Inside, a movie, is about a common love story.  The furniture store is a very important element of Beauty Inside, because it is the place where two main characters meet first and the mood of store.

       Two main characters, Woojin and Esoo, work associated with furniture. Woojin, male character, is the owner of customized furniture company, but no one knows he is the owner of that company. Esoo, femal character, works at the furniture store and she is a big fan of furniture which are made by Woojin. Woojin once visited Esoo’s furniture store, and saw her explaining details of furniture to other customers. He was fascinated by her professional about furniture. Since then Esoo also felt a deep interest in Woojin about making furniture.

       The atmosphere of furniture store is relaxed, and it matches with mood of the entire movie. Also, the air of furniture store is as comfortable and cozy as Esoo’s characteristics. Thus, it maximizes her image. The visual style and mood of the store evokes the film’s uncanny power. The cinema audiences can pay attention to movie without any tension. 

      The furniture store is the most important factor in Beauty Inside, because the main characters got to know each others at there, and mood of the place is helpful for audiences to concentrate on the movie.  Potentially, after the end of Beauty Inside, visitors of the furniture stores could have been increased, or any other places to meet their destiny. 

Geotourism in Jeon-ju

   Geotourism is like a partnership between travelers and locals. While traditional tourists stay in hotel and eat at chain restaurants, geotourists eat in local restaurants and buy from local merchants. Consequently, geotourism revives local economy. However excessive commercialization can harm tourists and even locals. Jeonju, which is a city in Korea, is a good example of explaining possible effects of geotourism.

   One possible effect of geotourism is it can enhance local economy. Jeonju is probably Korea’s best–known city where inherited traditional culture, such as Hanbok and Hanok. Geotourists can try Hanbok on and also stay the night at Hanok. Jeonju also has a cheap and various street food, so tourists prefer to eat street food rather than chain restaurants.

   However geotourism in Jeonju has side effect as well, such as excessive commercialization. Since the geotravelers crowded in Jeonju, merchants started to raise the price of foods and local specialties to earn more money. Because of overpriced foods and souvenirs, geotravelers could feel against them. In the worst case, tourism in Jeonju could be destroyed.

   Geotourism is a worthful way to travel another city because geotourists and the locals both get benefits. Geotravelers can experience the local lives and locals can be improved. Nevertheless, immoderate commercialization could break down the tourism itself. If geotourism does not overheat commercially, it could be developed further.
